KUROSHIO
2024
Nature as both a model and a source of inspiration for choreographic movement. Kuroshio does not seek to represent nature but rather to translate its essence through the dancers' bodies and spatial composition. Ocean currents evoke flows, surges, impulses, whirlwinds, opposing dynamics, mass movements, and countercurrents—principles that shape both the choreographic and musical composition. Like the meeting of three ocean currents, three choreographic and musical imaginaries observe one another, intersect, blend, and merge into a single movement.
